Making Change

Since it is the season of giving and since you are writing a story called The Gift, you have to watch this video.   It's amazing!

Christmas ornaments and book marking...

You certainly had fun making Christmas ornaments and now we are busy working on picture books.  It's a fun time of the year!  You are also busily selling Paperblank journals and we have already made over 200 dollars for the Nepal Library Foundation.  We have fulfilled our goal of 100 cans for the food drive in our class and you are still bringing them in.  Well done!!

Busy times in Division Two

I am a bit behind here.  I promise I will post some pictures!!!  We have been so busy!  I thought you would like this picture of my cousins bringing home their Christmas tree.  Life is a little different in Alberta than here, don't you think?
When I grew up in Quebec, we lived on a farm until I was eight and we had a sleigh that we would use with my pony in the winter.
The problem in the city of Vancouver is that you don't usually have snow and most of us don't have ponies or horses!!!
But yesterday we did have a bear in downtown Vancouver!
Looking forward to more Christmas fun at school.  Back to work on our picture books today! HoHoHo!  And I keep hearing rumours of snow!!!

Many of you are starting to enjoy Brainpop.  You can get this as an application on iphone or ipad but if you use this link just look for the featured video of the day.  It's a great way to learn many interesting things!

Mrs. Graham

Awhile ago we had a lovely celebration for Mrs. Graham, beloved kindergarten teacher here for thirty years.  We are making a book of their memories and here are a few of her happy former students.  Guess who???

Here are a couple of them hanging out in the playhouse.  I bet they had more space seven years ago!
