Valentine's Day

Here are a few favourite pictures from today!

Chihuly Gardens and Glass

These pictures are especially for Balkaran!  This is a new exhibit in Seattle next to the Space Needle! They are basically glass sculptures.  Instead of using clay you use glass to create these amazing installations.  These are a few of my favorites there.  Chihuly is world famous and he plans these installations but others have to help to execute them! He is from Tacoma, an hour south of Seattle and there is a glass museum and a glass bridge and other beautiful pieces of his work.  This centre in Seattle is new this year.

Don't you love the colours here!  He is often influenced by nature.
This is like a beautiful garden.  This installation takes up a whole room
This is his version of a boat!

I love the colours of this.  It makes me think of seashells!
When you go out into the garden outside you can see the Rock and Roll Museum and the Space Needle.  I like how his glass often catches the same colours around them and how they planted plants of the same colours.

This is actually on the ceiling as you go outside!  I love all his vivid colours especially on a grey day!

Here you can see the Space Needle!  I just visiting here!  To learn more take a virtual visit!
